The Adult Day Health Care Program

The Adult Day Health Care Center is for older adults who are able to live at home but may need some  of the special services we offer.  For example at home they may not have adequate supervision during the day which the Adult Day Health Care Center provides. Or perhaps they  may have chronic medical problems  or may need physical rehabilitation so living at home remains a safe option.

All of the services that are available to residents are open to our Adult Day Health Care registrants, including medical care, physical and occupational therapies, and social events. By taking advantage of the programs older adults living at home can maintain mobility, improve physical and mental function, and keep an active social life.  In fact, the Adult Day Health Care program encourages social interaction via group activities, such as workshops, registrants council meetings and shopping, restaurant and theater trips.

Housed in a building constructed in 1876, an extensive renovation program has renewed its grandeur while preserving its original charm. The facility is open Monday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A continental breakfast, midday lunch and a meal to take home are served. Door-to-door transportation, including to and from medical appointments, is included.
